It’s funny, as the festive season is fast approaching, there are many things to consider.

My top consideration now, is how can I make it simple and not put too much pressure on myself. For me, the priority is about seeing family and friends and celebrating the ‘real’ meaning of Christmas.

So to keep costs low, we do a family secret Santa and don’t buy gifts for extended family anymore. This year I am also asking for contributions, e.g. bring X food and drink, so the cost of food and drink over the few days is shared- even a little.

We have planned and invited to what we are happy to host, with the boundaries in place and so if we can also get some rest and work on our business – before going back to our normal routine.

It hasn’t always been like this- over the years I’ve learnt to say ‘no’, I’ve asked for help, I’ve changed family traditions, etc.

What do you need to change this year so you feel you are juggling well and not dropping all the balls?

What suggestion on the list is a good place for you to start?
